ASM Design is built around the skills, experience and creative interests of Anisha Sawhney Mittal, BArch (Dist.) MSc.(Dist.) LEED AP.

Anisha has been a pedestrian planner for over 10 years and has worked in numerous professional environments in the Asia, UK and the USA.  Her unique skill set combines a Bachelor’s degree in architecture with a Masters degree in urban analysis from the Bartlett School at University College London, and highly developed skills in pedestrian planning and sustainable development. Anisha has worked with Space Syntax Limited (UK), Buro Happold (UK) , and Halcrow, Inc (USA).

Anisha has co-authored a book “Taxi: Roads Forward”, 2007, which is a benchmarking document for the New York Taxi and Limousine Commission that examines the existing framework and makes recommendations for New York City’s taxi system.

Other than providing input into large urban planning projects with a pedestrian component, Anisha likes to dabble in interior spatial organization and the occasional DIY. She is always looking for ways to make design work.
